Target:
☆Students in high school

Purpose:
☆This plan is specially designed for those students who want to improve their  English language level in a short period of time. In this short time, students can learn and know more about English culture and scenic spots. There are at least 20 group members. Their interests in learning  English can be enhanced by our study tour and activities.
☆ We have a theme for each short-time course.  The courses are presented to the students in a way which can be described as a study tour. This is great opportunity for the students because it could stimulate their speaking ability in such an environment.  Meanwhile, it also strengthens and enhances their language ability. We ensure that all the students taking part in this course fully enjoy the chance to get improvement by our comprehensive study method.

Study Tour Plan: Students will visit famous universities in the USA and have a happy gathering. Along with the true environment, they can also experience the modern education given to other students at the overseas Harvard University.
☆  The teaching materials and methods are not only rich but also interesting. Students will receive help from experienced teachers. These teachers are qualified, knowledgeable and will encourage students to improve their language level.

We believe that the best way to learn a language is to blend in a good language environment. ACECI will provide proper support and improve student ability through interactive activity within their learned language.

American Summer and winter Education Tour ended successfully, allowing students and consultants to have an in-depth understanding of the social culture and education in the United States.  Participants visited many university sites, allowing them to be exposed to the American educational system first-hand, and to learn about the environment in the vicinity of these universities. This experience has strengthened their world perspectives and has left a lasting and positive effect on both visiting students and consultants.

The Exchange Programs

ACECI has the exchange programs. A student for exchange is selected by a sponsoring ACECI on the basis of a written application and personal interview.

Requirements

• Must be between 15 and 18 1/2 years old at the time of departure
• Average or above academic achievement
• Outgoing and adventuresome
• Flexible and open to living in a different culture

When students return, they will be asked to share their experiences with family, friends, their school and community so that other young people can learn about Youth Exchange and our global neighbors.

Students spend a full academic year with two or more host families beginning in late summer. Host parents provide room and meals as well as support and guidance. The host ACECI provides a limited monthly spending allowance, a counselor, and supervision.

Although parents should be prepared to cover travel, health insurance and a few other costs for the outbound student, ACECI arranges travel and assists with visa arrangements. In some cases scholarships may be available to help defray exchange costs.

College Board

In 1900, the College Board was created to expand access to higher education. Formed by a handful of colleges, our purpose was to simplify the application process for students and college admission offices.

More than a century after evaluating those first few test-takers, we are helping more than seven million students prepare for a successful transition to college each year, and we continue to serve the academic community through research and advocacy on behalf of students, educators and schools.

AP introduction
AP is a rigorous academic program built on the commitment, passion, and hard work of students and educators from both secondary schools and higher education. Since 1955, the AP Program has enabled millions of students to take college-level courses and exams, as well as earn college credit or placement while still in high school.

A 2008 study found that AP students had better four-year graduation rates than those who did not take AP. For example, graduation rates for AP English Literature students were 62 percent higher than graduation rates for those who took other English courses in high school.

AP courses

The Courses
The AP Program currently offers more than 30 courses across multiple subject areas. Each course is developed by a committee composed of college faculty and AP teachers, and covers the breadth of information, skills, and assignments found in the corresponding college course.
AP courses are taught by highly qualified high school teachers who use the AP Course Descriptions to guide them. The Course Description for each discipline outlines the course content, describes the curricular, goals of each subject, and provides sample examination questions.  The Course Descriptions are a significant source of information about course content through which the AP Exams will be based.  AP teachers have the flexibility to determine how this content is presented. Published in the spring of the school year before the course will be taught, the Course Descriptions are available in this section of AP Central, accompanied by a course perspective written by an experienced AP teacher. These perspectives represent the personal viewpoints and teaching
styles of their authors; however, we hope they will provide insight and inspiration for other educators.
