Summer Work and Travel Program in the U.S.
Introduction: This program, offered by the U.S. Department of State, allows students to spend summer break working for a designated J-1 employer in many different industries depending on the participant’s interests. The Work & Travel USA program allows you to work up to 4 months during your university vacation, after which you are allowed to travel for up to 1 month within the US. You must be available for work for at least 3 months in order to participate in our program. We have contracts with J-1 accredited sponsors to place students with employers. Job placements included: hotel housekeeping, serving tables in restaurants, and working as a cashier or stocker in a grocery store.
Benefits By being working in the United States, participants will enhance leadership skills while gaining a real understanding of American society and culture. They will learn and practice various basic work skills, promote mutual friendship and teamwork, improve language skills, adopt a healthy work ethic and acquire a strong ability to adapt in unpredictable environments.
